When we're not Folding Clothes, we're Folding Proteins™
At Cut Cute Couture®, our motto is simple: 'don't just look good'®.
Don't get us wrong, we like bright, shiny objects too... a soft, cute cardigan with Swarovski® crystal buttons and a sexy animal or feminine floral print. But we think the fashion industry has become too superficial, celebrity-obsessed and too selfish. We think smart is the new sexy. So, here are some ways Cut Cute Couture® trys to help.
When we're not using our computers for fashion, they automatically work on finding cures for cancer (really), discovering new drugs, modeling climate change and doing other useful things... like researching clean energy, or working on childhood cancer research. You'll find more information on the free software needed and the projects you can also participate in at: Boinc - which sounds kind of dirty, but actually stands for Berkeley Open Infrastructure for Network Computing, run by University of California at Berkeley.
Then when you're ready, Join Cut Cute Couture®'s Team and devote your unused computing cycles to work on humanitarian or scientific causes you care about.
We're also fans of ProPublica and their journalism in the public interest, as well as Mother Jones and their reader supported, award-winning journalism.
At retail, Cut Cute Couture®'s hangtags have a wide variety of 'don't just look good'® messages to spread the word around issues of the environment, health, education, public policy and so on. Let us know what you think about our fashion campaign for corporate and social responsibility. Post something on Cut Cute Couture®'s - Facebook page, retweet for us, set up your computer to lend a hand when you're not using it, give us your ideas... join the 'don't just look good'® movement. That way, you also won't just be looking good while wearing one of our tees, tops or sweaters.
djlg,
Jonno, Vivien & the other fashionistas of Cut Cute Couture®.
